World-renowned decorative paint expert Annie Sloan is coming to Bicester this September to host two exclusive upcycling workshops in support of Sobell House Hospice Charity.

The creator of Chalk Paint™ will lead the hands-on sessions at the charity’s Bicester Superstore on Saturday 19 September, giving people the chance to learn her signature painting techniques and transform everyday homeware.

The workshops will take place at 10am and 1pm and are open to complete beginners as well as experienced upcyclers.

Participants are encouraged to bring a small item from home to paint, or they can choose something from a specially selected range of small furniture and decorative homeware available to buy from the Bicester Superstore on the day.

Proceeds from the event will support Sobell House Hospice Charity and help fund palliative and end-of-life care for people across Oxfordshire, as well as support for their families.

Annie Sloan said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with Sobell House Hospice Charity for this special workshop in Bicester.

“Whether you’re new to painting or already love upcycling, I hope you’ll come along, get creative and discover just how easy it is to transform everyday homeware with Chalk Paint™.

“It’s wonderful that we can support such an important local charity while inspiring people to create something they’ll love.”

Charlee White, Superstore Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Annie Sloan to our Bicester Superstore for what promises to be a truly inspiring day.

“This workshop combines creativity with community, giving people the chance to learn from a world-renowned expert while helping raise vital funds for Sobell House Hospice.”
