The Hummingbird Centre is inviting the community to a Winter Wellbeing event at its base in Launton, near Bicester, on Saturday, October 24.
Running from 11am to 3pm, the free event will feature Christmas stalls, homemade cakes, refreshments and a raffle, alongside complementary therapies including Reiki, Indian head massage and reflexology.
Centre staff will also be available to explain the support and services offered to people affected by cancer and their families.
Centre Manager Zoe Draper said: “The winter months can also be a particularly difficult time for people affected by cancer, so we wanted to create an event that focuses on wellbeing, connection and taking some time for yourself, while also bringing some Christmas cheer to the Centre.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone and creating a warm, festive and enjoyable day.”
The event follows a similar wellbeing day held in June and aims to raise awareness of the charity’s work while bringing the local community together.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, with all money raised going towards the running costs of the Centre. Entry is free, although there will be a small charge for complementary therapies.
The Hummingbird Centre opened in 2014 and supports people affected by cancer across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Its services include counselling, complementary therapies, activities and dedicated support for children.
The charity relies entirely on donations and volunteers to operate.
