Oxford Bus Group has announced the appointment of Neil Butler as the new Finance Director. Neil boasts an illustrious background in corporate finance, with managerial stints at Vodafone UK, KPMG, and his recent role as Finance Director for the luxury furniture brand, OKA.

Speaking about his new position, Neil shared, “I am proud to be joining at a time where the business is expanding and making a number of significant strategic investments in services across the group. Having been born and raised in Abingdon and being a local resident with my family, I’m intimately familiar with the area. My personal experiences and memories of using the services growing up have only strengthened my connection to the group. I’m eager to embrace the next chapter of my career in the public transport sector, understanding its crucial role in uniting communities, mitigating congestion, enhancing air quality, and promoting carbon emission reduction.”

In welcoming Neil, Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, remarked, “This is a significant appointment for the group and we are very happy to have Neil on board. His profound expertise in corporate finance is pivotal for the ongoing expansion phase and the strategic financial decisions that lie ahead. Our vision includes heavy investments in electric vehicles and charging facilities at the Cowley depot, steering towards an all-electric bus fleet in Oxford. Furthermore, we’re extending our reach into the Cotswolds, with Pulhams Coaches as our latest addition. We also have plans to expand the PickMeUp service operated by Carousel Buses in Buckinghamshire. I, along with the entire Oxford Bus group team, warmly welcome Neil.”
